Educational Qualifications for SSC CGL (as on 01-01-2022)
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university/institution. The educational qualifications vary according to the post for SSC CGL 2020 and are listed below:

Physical Fitness Requirements: Apart from the above, there are certain requisite physical standards for Inspector (Central Excise/ Examiner/Preventive Officer), Sub-Inspector in CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) and Sub-Inspector in NIA (National Investigation Agency).

SSC CGL Selection Process and Exam Pattern:
Every year Staff Selection Commission (SSC) carries out the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam in four levels for various posts.
Tier Type Mode
Tier – I Objective Multiple-Choice Computer-Based
Tier – II Objective Multiple-Choice Computer-Based
Tier – III Descriptive in English/Hindi Pen and Paper mode
Tier – IV Skill Test/Computer Proficiency TestComputer-Based

SSC CGL 2020 Tier I and Tier II exam will be held online.
A descriptive paper is introduced which will be of 100 marks with a time limit of 60 minutes in pen and paper mode.
The time limit for examination of Tier -I is 60 minutes.
There will be no sectional cut off.

Paper-III of Tier-II will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and Statistical Investigator Grade-II in the office of Registrar General, India (M/o Home Affairs) and who are shortlisted in Tier-I for these posts.
In Tier-II, Paper-IV will be for only those candidates who are shortlisted in Tier-I for Paper-IV i.e. for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.
